Welcome to mountLA. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website mountla.com and the handyman services we provide ("Services"). By accessing the Site or booking our Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
mountLA offers professional handyman services in Los Angeles County and Orange County, including but not limited to:
- TV mounting and installation (all sizes)
- Wire and cable concealment
- Furniture assembly (any brand)
- Shelf and fixture installation
- Drywall repair and general handyman tasks
2. Booking and Quotes
Quotes provided through our online calculator or quick-quote form are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing is confirmed by a representative via phone or text and may vary based on actual job scope, site conditions, and additional services needed. Bookings are confirmed once we acknowledge and schedule your appointment.
3. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed. We accept the following payment methods:
- Apple Pay
- Credit / Debit Card
- Venmo
- Zelle
- Cash
- Check
4. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 4 hours before the scheduled time at no charge. Cancellations made within 4 hours of the appointment may incur a small service fee to cover travel time.
5. Workmanship Warranty
We stand behind our work. If you experience any issue caused by our workmanship within 30 days of service completion, we will return at no additional cost to address the issue. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, third-party modifications, or normal wear and tear.
6. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the job and site conditions
- Ensure safe access to the work area
- Confirm that you own or have permission to modify the property
- Make payment promptly upon completion
- Notify us in advance of any specific concerns or hazards (pets, fragile items, etc.)
7. Property and Liability
mountLA is licensed and insured. While we take every precaution to protect your property, we are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage or defects in walls, fixtures, or property
- Damage caused by hidden conditions inside walls (electrical, plumbing, structural) that could not be reasonably anticipated
- Failure of mounts, brackets, or hardware due to manufacturer defects
- Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
Our maximum liability for any claim arising from our Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific job in question.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, and images — is the property of mountLA or our licensors and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Reviews and Testimonials
Customer reviews displayed on the Site are sourced from third-party platforms (Google, Yelp, Thumbtack) via their public APIs. We do not edit or filter reviews. By submitting a review, you grant us the right to display it on our Site and marketing materials.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or our Services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled in the courts of San Diego County, California. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
